IRISH FELLOWS PROGRAMME 2023/2024 - SIDS

DHERST in collaboration with the PNG Department of Foreign Affairs, is pleased to inform interested candidates of the Irish Fellows Programme 2023/2024 - SIDS

The Government of Ireland is offering two newly funded Fellowships to the Pacific region, for Masters level studies in Ireland in the academic year 2024/2025. This realises a commitment in Ireland’s Strategy for Partnership with Small Island Developing States to establish an annual number of awards to professionals for postgraduate study in Irish higher education institutions, in courses relevant to addressing climate change and its associated challenges. 

Applications for the scholarships will open on 3 July 2023 on the Fellowships website:   Ireland Fellows Programme - SIDS | Ireland Fellows Programme (irishaidfellowships.ie). Full information is available in the Guidance Notes. The Directory of Courses and Application Form are at the bottom of the page - they are visible on ticking the “meet eligibility” box.  

Closing date for applications is 31 July 2023

Eligible SIDS countries from Pacific include Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Nauru, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu.
