Notice of Proposal to Establish Innovative University of Enga

This notice serves to inform the General Public and the concerned stakeholders that the Enga Provincial Government has submitted a proposal to the Department of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (DHERST) to establish a public university as Innovative University of Enga, in accordance with the Higher Education (General Provisions) Act 2014.

The Enga Provincial Government proposes to amalgamate the two existing State institutions Namely Enga Teachers College and Enga School of Nursing into a university. The two colleges will be amalgamated as faculties of education and nursing. Other proposed institutions will Eventually subsume into the University structure while undergoing establishment.

Pursuant to Section 105 of the HEGPA, MHERST is now inviting any person wishing to object To the application to lodge a formal written objection within a month of the date of publication.

Of this notice, DHERST will consider the application in two (2) weeks period after the date of publication of this notice.

State of objection under section 106 of the HEGPA shall contain the following;

  1. Name and address of the person making the objectin;

  2. Be signed by that person; and

  3. Specify in detail the grounds of objection.
